Look to the Black and White Burgers

It seems like the foreign counterparts of U.S.-based fast food chains are consistently coming up with the craziest limited edition offers. For instance, check out these “Black and White Burgers” being offered by McDonald’s Hong Kong.

The “Black” burger features a bun infused with black squid ink. It also features two beef patties, mashed potatoes, lettuce, bacon, and truffle sauce. Top it off with contrasting white sesame seeds and you’ve got one serious quickservice burger on your hands. Tag line: “Dare to be dark.” Very tempting, Ronald. Very tempting.

The “White” burger features a white bun topped with black sesame seeds, with a crispy chicken patty, mashed potatoes, lettuce, bacon, and pepper mushroom sauce. Tag line: “Dare to be plain.”

These burgers are similar to the McDonald’s black and white burgers that debuted in China, where they were offered as a set of two-mini burgers. The Hong Kong counterparts are full-sized and can be purchased separately.
