Rainy Day Haikus

I heard on the radio this morning that today is the fourth or fifth day in a row that we have gotten rain here in Central Florida. In fact, earlier this week, we had some nasty thunderstorms, some hail, even a tornado warning or two. (By the way, we hope our neighbors that were in those affected areas did not see any major damage to their property…or themselves for that matter.) But now that it’s calmed down a bit weather-wise, I thought it was a perfectly good time to break out some more haikus.

Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day.
It’s too wet outside.

The clouds in the sky
Look all dark and horrible.
Where is the sun now?

If the roads are wet,
Drive very slowly so that
You don’t have problems.

What is going on
With all of the rain pouring?
It needs to dry up!

With all of this rain,
You would think we’d be used to
It. But we are not.

Stay dry, folks!
