The Friendship Nine Club of Rock Hill, SC

Back in February, we reported on the Friendship Nine Club, a group of 12 students of the Dutchman Creek Middle School in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The students formed the club to honor Rock Hill’s civil rights pioneers who staged a sit-in at a segregated lunch counter in the 1960s. To carry on the tradition of civil rights, the Friendship Nine Club welcomes anyone to become a member, no matter their race or sex.

One Fat Frog Restaurant Equipment heard about the club and decided we wanted to help somehow, so we provided them with official t-shirts. A couple months later and the Friendship Nine can be seen here, along with Cynthia O’Sullivan, a teacher at the middle school.

One Fat Frog is happy to help out such an important club. Read more about the original Friendship Nine here.
