My Last Super Bowl Post!

This is my last Super Bowl post, I promise. I know I did two on Friday, but this is my final one. And since we at One Fat Frog love a good party, how could I skip out on talking about the game one more time? It’d be absurd of me.

Anyway, first, I have to thank (like I won something) the good people at Gator’s Dockside in Lake Mary. Great service, amazing specials, and the food was all delicious. And it was no picnic in there either. They had orders lining tables at one point, so they were swamped the whole night. But there is not a single point when my glass was not filled with Mountain Dew or my boneless wings did not taste amazing. So hats off to you guys. You know how to throw a Super Bowl party down.

Now for the game. I was glad it wasn’t a blowout. Most might be surprised by that, but when you don’t have any lasting team loyalty, you want to see a good game at least. While I did root for the Ravens, I still wanted to be on the edge of my chair (or stool, as it was). The first half looked good for the Ravens, but when the 49ers roared back in the second half, I was glad to be enjoying a good game. By the way, last night’s game is now tied for fifth for highest total number of points in a Super Bowl game with 65 (Ravens 34, 49ers 31). The game was good, and that’s all you could ask for.

As for the other aspects, the halftime show wasn’t bad. I’m not a fan of Beyonce, but she did what she was supposed to do, and that’s be entertaining. And the whole bringing Destiny’s Child back together for one night was pretty cool. As for the commercials, my personal favorite goes to M&M’s “I Would Do Anything For Love” and if you haven’t seen it, you must find it. Oh, and as far as the blackout was concerned, I must say that is something I might not forget. My personal opinion was that they should’ve equipped the players’ helmets with coal miners’ lamps and just kept on going. That would’ve made it visually interesting, plus the whole helmet-to-helmet thing would’ve had a whole new reason to be exciting and dangerous! Just the way football is supposed to be.

So there you go, I kept it brief and to the point, and that is my final Super Bowl related post. Now to eat some M&M’s.
