Everywhere you turn in downtown areas around the U.S. you’re met with restaurants, bars, pizzerias, cafes, etc. But what cities have the most restaurants per capita? It’s a question that’s been haunting my existence for as far back as I can remember. And now, thanks to the NPD Group, I can get on with my life.
The NPD consumer market research group has released their annual ReCount survey. This yearly census documents the number of restaurants in the country – ranking US. metropolitan areas b the number of restaurants per capita. Orlando is absent from the list. The only Florida city holding it down is Panama City – the only city in the U.S. I associate with David Lee Roth in tiger-striped stretch pants. Go figure.
You can check out the entire list here. You will never guess number one. If you do, I’ll eat my shoe. With hot sauce. In Panama.
