Once again I’m overlooked by the American Culinary Federation (ACF). Recently they honored several chefs, culinary industry professionals, and foodservice establishments at the 2012 ACF National Convention in Orlando, FL. My award nomination must have been lost in the mail.
At this year’s awards, the high honor of U.S.A.’s Chef of the Year went to Scott Ryan, CEC, of Chesterland, OH and Paul Prudhomme, HAAC, HHOF, of New Orleans, LA. Ryan is the executive chef at The Country Club, Pepper Pike, OH and part of the ACF Cleveland Chapter Inc. Prudhomme is the chef an owner at K-Pauls Louisiana Kitchen and part of the ACF New Orleans chapter. Bravo, chefs.
The ACF National Convention was attended by more than 1,000 chefs, cooks, students, and foodservice professionals. Attendees had the opportunity to network their faces off while strengthening their culinary skills through workshops and demonstrations.
